In my level there is a fuel tank that is partly full and when i went underwater in the fuel it had a blue look to everything. I am trying to make it yellow. Any suggestions? And i was wondering how they did the explosions if the fuel was shot in the fueling station sp level. Thanks!

Have you tried changing the tint color of the sector?

yea i actaully tried that but it is still blue underwater the tint was already black but it wont change. Is it a sector flag? IT automatically set the water for me so i have no clue.

CaptBewil is correct. You change the sector tint by selecting the sector you want changed, opening the item editor & double-clicking the +tint field. You should be able to select the color that you want.

As far as the exploding gas, you're looking for 09_FUELTANKS.COG & 09_FUELEXPLODE.COG. Just open up 09FUELSTATION.JKL & take a look for yourself.

ok i swear i changed the tint but it is still blue in that sector but it was originally black tint. Its weird because i know i got the value for yellow

ill look at that level too to see if im doing it right. Thanks again

I know i gave that underwater sector the yellow tint i just wonder if it is the underwater flag that is making it blue which i think it is.

no, the underwater flag doesn't do anything to the sector tint. You have to set that yourself.

then i have no clue why the color of the underwater sector is blue...
Post 19-Jun-2009 14:10

is there anything else like a cog or something that maybe causing it to be blue? because i tested it without the underwater flag and it was still blue. So you were right about that.

The only thing I can think of is maybe the level isn't saving correctly. Try adding something else to the level unrelated to this to make sure it's actually saving.
Or maybe you're selecting the wrong sector. Sometimes you select a sector and it looks just like the one you want from the overhead view but turns out to be a small sector above it...

well its wierd because i was able to make it where it looks like im swimming in nothing like its just white tint but when i tried red it made like a purplish color underwater.

Are you using the pallet that comes up or are you trying to specify a more specific color? Specifying a more specific color usually doesn't work.
