Hi guys!

I'm in the process of making a new gun, but I need help getting it to work. I have the .3do built, and the powerup mesh works fine, but the external and internal meshes won't show up in-game. I'm unable to replace the original weapon (blast tech pistol) with my new one.

If I give someone here the files, would it be possible to get the weapon working in-game? I would be very greatful if someone could do this! Thank you!

I've mostly just built levels, and haven't got any experience with this sort of modding. Sorry for not being very helpful.

Here are a few things to know about weapon modeling. As a powerup, it can be anything. As an external mesh it has to be one mesh (and with that comes the so many polies/verts per mesh limit). As an internal model, you have to like put together hands and arms, set up the 3DO Hierarchy so that they can be animated properly (axis, axels, animation by rotation), then make sure that the keyframe animations match (.key files). If need be, create new keyframe animations.

Hmm, it does seem rather complex. Edward, if I can't get it working myself, could I email you the files needed for the external and internal meshes for you to compile? I'd be very greatful if you could.

...but then you'll learn nothing!

(Not that I can be bothered to learn cog)

Right, I'll try. Though I'm a terrible modeller. All I got is ZED.
