I was wondering about two things and i would like to suggest some things.

The original JK hud is great, although i don't like the Force Pool meter (prefer the future JO and JA ones) it's perfect, but most of the time i take my screen up to 1280x1024 and my hud almost disapear.
Isn't there a way to make the HUD larger. Or an separate update for the hud, so that it doesn't affect players that use resolution lower than 800x600?

Also, i know it's a pain to always be hearing complains about it, but... Aren't there gonna be any modifications to the look of the lightsaber? Maybe a glowsaber 3 modification, or compatibility to the future "Live by the Force"? Because the "broomstick" sabers no matter what are the modifications to it, really look bad. There is no need for new moves on the saber, just some new graphics to it, so that the saber looks hi-poly as the great models released by now.

And a minor thing i saw is that the Dead Yun model at Sarris - BGJ still is the old yun model. Could you edit the Dead Yun model so he is the new one?

Apart from that, the mod is great! I found the R2D2 model amazing, something never seen before. Great job Shred18, it's people like you that make JK ressurect!

Shred18 did a grate job with the models. But yeah some glow on the sabers and blaster fire would be cool. To bad i suck at editing

That's all beyond the scope of this mod. The goal is to be compatable with all mods and custom levels, so if you wan't a glowsaber, enable glowsaber, JKE will work with it!

I will probably include new blaster fire models, but for now you can just run emons enhanced effects mod, or glowsaber for better blaster fire.

I'm gonna guess that one's it. I know it is a mod that has glowsabers, but I don't know for a fact that it is THE glowsaber mod.

SBX is my personal pref, although to run it with JKE through Patch Commander, you have to manually activate it (copy/paste it to the jkpatch/active directory)

If you name the gob Res0.gob, and put it in the JK/resource folder, it will always override res2.gob, and you won't have to mess with patch commander. Thats how I have mine installed.

The shrinking HUDS and text is a major problem.

Basically anything above 800x600 starts to become a problem. It's a real strain on the eyes.

For a comparison of how LucasArts intended the HUD to be shown, look at Dark Forces I, Jedi Knight II, or Jedi Academy.

The "tiny hud at high res" is just an oversight. Likewise the small, almost unreadable text at high res...

If ANYTHING can be done about that, it would be a huge boon to players, especially MP players!

PS: I actually did one time try to make a bigger HUD to use client side as a replacement at higher res. But I lost patience removing all bits of (non-transparent) pink from the image to make it look perfect, then I lost it in a hard drive crash (of course this was several years ago). I couldn't do anything about the text since I didn't know coding, but I hear there is a font changer or something, right?

There's a font project on the hub that aims to replace the fonts and make them more readable, I think.

i've got an idea for new saber... look for jk advanced mod in massassi.net and look for its saber model... sweet almost like in jedi ouctast... maybe try ripping it from this mod??

EDIT: Also, placing Res0 in my Resource folder doesn't work at all. I'm stuck with patch commander.

That's interesting.. How did you get that glow effect on the normal saber?

Unfortunatly, making the actual saber selection in multiplayer options work with a glow is sorta impossible without a patch, but, I created a cog that will set your saber to the specified color (There are 7 color gobs to put in patch commander or something, Blue, Green, Purple, Orange, Yellow, Dark Red, and Red. If I could come up with a better way, I would...)

Anyway, the specific color gobs have individual color mats inside, while the "GlowSaberX" gob contains the cog and the Items.dat file (Also, if I could get the saber to work without changing Items.dat, things would be perfectly compatible. Not sure how it acts over the internet, but I'm willing to test it with some people. >.>)

Anyway, that being said, I used the cog to change the saber to the specified color using JKSetSaberInfo, stretched it out to the sides and made the saber materials very small (About 16x8 pixels each for the line, and 8x8 for the tip.) Using that funky Alpha thing that JK has, it makes it glow :3

That probably didn't make sense, but you know :3
