Stargate SG1 Levels for JK |
On the edge of our galaxy and at the very outer rim of the gate system, withinsmall star cluster... lies a forest moon orbiting a gas giant. This area of the galaxy, and the moon, remained unexplored by SGC personnel, until only 3 weeks ago.
First impressions indicated only one species to reside here, primitive humans. But closer inspection of the moments and temples revealed the founders of this world to be of a far older race.
The Furling, the elusive 4th race of the Ancient Alliance.
Upon preliminary translation of the writings, we learn of a story that begins over 400 thousand years ago.
Summary.
The Furlings were once a largely populated advanced culture, possessing powerful technology in defence and weaponry, but remained a largely peaceful race.
It was an age before the Guaould had even taken their 1st Unas Host. However, it was not a time of peace.
A race referred to as the "Ohsra Changrah" prowled the galaxy, relentlessy destroying any other race they met.The Furling found themselves in the firing line all to often, as well as "our friends and allies" [the ancient races?]
Direct Translation:
"Our Brothers, the Gentle Spirits" [Nox?], used their gift of illusion to hide and confuse the Changrah. We however, faced them head on in battle when no other option presented itself. We fought them in the deepest space, and the very soil itself upon the planets we walked upon, would shake when we joined battle." [it is assumed the stargate network was in operation at this point, and both the furling and changrah used them]
"The outer arms of this galaxy turned to fire, and many of us fell to the superior fire power and sheer numbers of the Changrah war fleet."
"In our most desperate hour, we clung to survival, but it was with a heavy heart that we decided to return to The land of our fore-fathers." [homeworld?].
Deeper into the Temple, the writings continue the story, but set many 10's of thousands of years later...
"We returned to this galaxy with renewed vigor, and with our many allies ready to aid us. The Gentle Ones [Nox?] who awaited our return, our fellow Honored warriors [The Asguard?], The Water Dwellers [unkown race?], the powerful sagittareans [unknown also, who are these guys?] and the Builders of Roads [Ancients, obviously]."
"The Galaxy had changed much since our departure. The Builders of Roads had sown the seed of life here, and primitive humanoids had spread out across many worlds.
New species had achieved sentience, though one would demand the full attention of the Alliance in years to come."
[possibly referring to a number of species we have seen, including the Riol, the Indian Spirits, and of course the Unas
and the Guaould,]
"Our enemy had grown strong in our absence, though had left the primitive species alone. Along with our allies and friends, we entered a war that would see the end of the Changrah..."
